JV Red rallied twice, but came up short at Jenks on Tuesday
night. Zack Ziegenhorn had another solid outing, striking out 6 and
giving up 2 runs in 4 innings. The Union bats were held in check most of the
night as the Redskins fanned 8 times. But they rallied with a run in the 6th
to tie the game at 4. Then in the 7th, they scored 3 times.
Aided by 2 walks, a single by Brandon Cuddy, and an error on the Trojans
shortstop, JV Red took a 2 run lead into the bottom of the inning. Jenks
rallied with 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th and won the game
7-6. JV Red is now 3-2 and will play at Skiatook at 4:00 Thursday afternoon,
followed by a home doubleheader with Stillwater on Friday.

The second game of the double header also went to extra innings. With the score tied 2-2, Jenks took the lead in the top of the 7th. Union was unable to mount a comeback and fell to the Trojans 4-2. Union JV White now moves to 4-3 on the season and will face Claremore in a double header this Friday night (at Claremore) followed by a single game against Booker T. Washington on Saturday.

JV White faced Jenks in a double header on Tuesday night. After 7 innings finished in a 6-6 tie, Union was able to score the winning run in the bottom of the 8th inning for the victory. Charlie Rosenberger recorded his 1st homerun of his high school career as well as the first for the team this season.

The Union baseball team dug their selves quite a hole as they got down 8-0 in the first two innings vs. Fayetteville on Saturday. The bats came alive though scoring 11 runs in the top of the 3rd inning and the Skins never looked back as Brandon Hale picked up his first win of the year in relief of starter Jacob Kremers. The offense went on to score 11 more runs over the next two innings as the Redskins run-ruled the Bulldogs 22-12 in 5 innings.

Union took on Edmond North last night in their second home game of the season. The Skins put them selves in a deep hole by struggling out of the gate giving up 7 runs on 8 hits in the first two innings. The offense scratched back scoring 5 runs in the bottom of the 2nd to cut the lead to 7-5, but wher shut out through the last 5 inings. North later scored 3 un-earned runs in the 7th as the Wolves beat the Redskins 10-5.
